Introduction to the Immune System

Knowing how the immune system works is helpful in understanding lupus research such as the studies supported by the S.L.E. Lupus Foundation and the Lupus Research Institute. This publication, Understanding the Immune System: How it Works, provides general background, and relates to lupus specifically on pages 28-30. The brochure was developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health.
