New Findings Show Benefit of Multidisciplinary Approach to Scientific Research

Findings in lupus shed light on cancer treatment in a new study at Yale, while research in infectious disease presented this week at the Lupus Research Institute’s Forum for Discovery has implications for autoimmune diseases such as lupus.
Yale Cancer Center researchers report that an antibody associated with the autoimmune disease systemic lupus erythematosus may actually offer a treatment for certain cancers. The study is published in the Oct. 24 issue of the peer-reviewed journal, Science Translational Medicine.
