Published Study Provides New Insights into Autoimmune Diseases

Paper published in highly respected international journal Immunity reports results of a study in Australia that may explain how autoimmune conditions that target particular organs like the heart or nervous system could develop after an infection. While researchers did not specifically look at lupus, their findings could be relevant to understanding many autoimmune diseases such as lupus.
