New Evidence That Smoking Increases Risk of Cutaneous Lupus

A new study published in Arthritis Care and Research showed that smoking increased the risk for patients to develop skin manifestations of lupus by 63 percent, based on data from a multicenter cohort study of 1,346 patients. The 1000 Faces of Lupus Cohort was funded by the Arthritis Society and the Lupus Society of Manitoba.
