Low Vitamin D Levels May be Linked to Lupus

As reported in Lupus News Today, a recently published study provides further evidence of an association between Vitamin D levels and lupus. The study entitled, “Association of low vitamin D with high disease activity in an Australian systemic lupus erythematosus cohort,” was published in Lupus Science & Medicine. Investigators in an Australian clinic analyzed the vitamin D levels of 119 lupus patients; 27.7% had deficient vitamin D levels.
